We have an exciting opportunity for a Surveyor to work within the Corporate Property and Land Service.

You will be a member of a team responsible for full professional services including Estate Management, Valuation and negotiation of terms to dispose and acquire of property and land interests.

Durham County Council has a large estate spread throughout the County, and also has ambitious regenerational and development schemes. We have land and building rationalisation schemes and work closely with other public and private sector partners. There is therefore a great variety of work which involves the team you will have the opportunity to work with and we welcome applications from interested parties who meet our essential criteria.

The role would suit either a cognitive graduate, or someone with a desire to get RICS qualified in the near future, or an RICS qualified surveyor.

Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent providing a foundation for membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent appropriate professional body.

Candidates should have specialist knowledge of property and property processes and have experience of working and making decisions as part of a team.
