This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the People Services Systems Team. We are looking for a talented, self-motivated team player to support and develop systems used by the directorate.

The role requires a good understanding of the business processes in use within: Early Help, Social Care and Education. It also calls for an in-depth understanding of how systems work so that queries can be answered and problems solved in an effective way.

Experience of working with systems provided by Liquid Logic would be a distinct advantage.

Good communication skills are vital; much of the role involves discussing issues and potential solutions with system users, as well as training them in how to use their systems most effectively.

As legislation evolves, systems evolve and upgrades are needed. This requires the post holder to have experience in project management to ensure that change is implemented successfully.

This is a temporary position for 15 months to cover maternity leave.

This post is subject to the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearances to ensure the Council is compliant with the Government’s requirements for Public Sector Network (PSN) Compliance. The criteria for a BPSS clearance includes applicants being required to satisfy the following the eligibility conditions of nationality/right to work and providing appropriate documentation to enable the Council to verify the identity of the applicant, their employment and/or academic history, and passing a criminal record (unspent convictions) check.
