To teach science in this high achieving, caring and inclusive school, ranked 5th in the North-East in the Sunday Times Parent Power listings for 2016. Our science department is highly regarded and the subject is very popular and successful in the school curriculum, and particularly popular in the sixth form. We expect our teachers to have the necessary subject knowledge to teach high achieving A Level students and the skills to be able to inspire, motivate and support all students whatever their needs or abilities.

We would welcome applications from physicists or chemists, but the ability to teach high ability A-Level students in at least one of these (but preferably both) disciplines is essential.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to obtain a satisfactory Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
