Required from January 2019, three suitably qualified teachers with experience of working with children and young people with Communication and Interaction Needs (Autism) aged 0-25 years. You will be working as part of SENTASS, a team of teachers and learning support assistants with specialisms in a range of special educational needs working across mainstream schools and settings in Newcastle.

The post provides an exciting opportunity to work as part of a newly created team of specialist teachers for Communication and Interaction Needs.

The post involves working into a range of mainstream schools and settings across Newcastle. We are looking for applicants with enthusiasm, flexibility and initiative to provide specialist advice and support to staff in relation to children and young people with significant communication and interaction needs (autism and/or speech, language and communication needs). Effective communication with parents/carers will also be an integral part of the role.
