Fixed term until 31 August 2019
Required from 7 January 2019

We are seeking to appoint a teacher to work for two days a week (preferably Thursday and Friday) in a Key Stage 2 (Year 4) Class.

We are a first school in Gosforth with an exceptionally motivated staff team. We value high standards of achievement for all of our pupils and we are looking to appoint an excellent teacher who will make a positive contribution to the education of our fantastic pupils. Experience and interest in the Computing Curriculum would be beneficial.

Broadway East First School is part of the Gosforth Schools’ Trust and is located towards the North of Gosforth in a diverse and vibrant community. The school is currently planning a relocation and expansion for September 2020 to Newcastle Great Park. We currently have 225 pupils on roll and intend to increase to 450 pupils in our new building.

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and a range of other recruitment checks. Please note that in all cases written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise. All applicants must hold appropriate teaching qualifications.

Application forms and further details are available on the school website www.broadwayeast.newcastle.sch.uk or from the school office on receipt of a large stamped addressed envelope.

Completed printed application forms and safer recruitment forms must be returned to Headteacher, Helen McKenna at the school address above. We will not accept applications made via email.

Please contact Mrs Dickie in the school office if you would like to visit the school.
