First Class Supply are currently working with a Northumberland Academy who wish to appoint a full time Teacher of Geography (KS3 - KS5) to commence as soon as possible until April 2017.
With over 1500 students aged 11-18, the academy benefits from a modern building and a supportive and caring learning environment. A rapid drive for improvement has been instilled since a change in leadership, with significant strides being taken to establish higher expectations in a happy, friendly and positive environment. The school aspires to develop confident adults who are able to set challenging goals for themselves, which through hard work and determination they will help them to achieve.

To be successful in this role you must:

• have a strong classroom presence
• have the skills to make a significant impact on raising the quality of teaching and learning
• secure good progress for all students
• be able to demonstrate resilience
• be able to inspire and motivate
• be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with vision, drive and commitment
• hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
• have recent experience / knowledge of teaching Geography KS5 within the UK National Curriculum.
For a newly qualified teacher relevant support will be provided.
