First Class Supply are working with a school in North Tyneside, who are looking to appoint a full time teacher of Keys Stage 4 History / Geography. The post is to start in January 2017, for the duration of the academic year.
This is a smaller than average 11−18 years foundation school, deemed as an outstanding provider of education for young people by Ofsted.
All students in Key Stages 3 and 4 make exceptional progress and leave year 11 with good results. Teachers have high expectations throughout the college and aspire for their students to do well in everything they do; setting challenging targets and building strong relationships that allow students to respond well.
To be successful in this role you must:
• be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with vision, drive and commitment
• have the skills to make a significant impact on raising the quality of teaching and learning
• be proficient in planning, assessment and target setting so that all children make good or better progress
• be able to inspire and motivate
• be committed to raising achievement and standards
• hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
• have recent experience / knowledge of teaching History and Geography across Key Stage 4 within the UK National Curriculum.
