First Class Supply is working with a secondary school in North Tyneside that is currently looking to appoint a Humanities Teacher to start in January 2018 until the end of the academic year on a full time basis. The position is to teach Humanities to Key Stage 5 and Geography to Key Stage 3.

A co-educational 11-18 school, with approximately 850 pupils which includes around 150 in the Sixth Form. The school’s ethos is to encourage all students to have the power and aspiration to seek truth, knowledge and understanding by acquiring skills to think independently in order to take responsibility for their own learning. This will enable students to become successful, adaptable learners, who will become responsible, caring, moral citizens able to make positive contributions to the local and global community.

To be successful in this role you must:
  • have the skills to make a significant impact on raising the quality of teaching and learning
  • be proficient in planning, assessment and target setting so that all children make good or better progress
  • be able to inspire and motivate
  • be committed to raising achievement and standards
  • hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
  • have recent experience / knowledge of teaching Humanities to Key Stage 5 and Geography to Key Stage 3 within the UK National Curriculum.
