A partner school to First Class Supply, based in Gateshead, would like to appoint a Teacher of RE to commence in January 2018. The position will be on a part time basis working a 0.4 two week timetable for the duration of a maternity leave, initially until July 2018. You will teach to Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

The school is an 11-18 large Catholic school with an exceptionally strong ethos which pervades the school. Pupils’ behaviour is almost always impeccable and they are very eager to learn and participate fully in extra-curricular activities. Outstanding leadership and management at all levels ensure that the school consistently provides high quality teaching that promotes outstanding achievement.

To be successful in this role you must:
  • be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with vision, drive and commitment
  • be proficient in planning, assessment and target setting so that all pupils make good progress
  • successfully contribute to high levels of pupil achievement
  • consistently teach inspirational and varied lessons
  • hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
  • have recent experience / knowledge of teaching RE within the UK National Curriculum.
