We are looking for an outstanding teacher with a commitment to academic excellence and helping every child succeed. This person will support the Subject Leader in curriculum development to ensure Wellfield’s vision of high standards and academic achievement is upheld. An ability to teach Construction and Engineering would be beneficial. This post would suit a newly qualified teacher.

The ideal candidate will:
• be a committed team player with a track record of supporting pupils to make exceptional progress
• demonstrate high levels of ambition and optimism regarding what the school and its students can achieve
• have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of pupils

Wellfield was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2014.

An £8.5million refurbishment was completed in the summer of 2014, resulting in an excellent learning environment offering state of the art facilities. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

• Degree or BEd. in a technology based subject
• Qualified Teacher Status
