This post is term time only with plus 5 training days and fixed term until 31st August 2026. 

St Hilds Church of England School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with our Teachers and support teaching and learning with individual/small groups of pupils, adjusting activities within set parameters under the direction, guidance and supervision of the Teacher. 

This particular post will be providing support in our Bridge provision focussing on pupils with emotionally based non-attendance complex issues.

We are looking for a colleague who has: 
  • Experience of classroom/small group organisation.
  • Ability to use language and other communication skills that children can understand relate to.
  • Ability to empathise with the needs of children and in
    particular able to establish positive relationships
    with pupils.
  • Ability to provide levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as
    appropriate to pupils’ needs.
  • Ability to supervise groups of pupils. 
  • High expectations of children's achievements and behaviour.
