HASTING HILL ACADEMY Teaching Assistant – Early Years (with effect from 1st January 2017 or sooner) Grade D (SCP 15 – 17) £16772 - £17547 pro rata 37 h.p.w. (term time only 39 weeks) We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team of professionals in our successful early years foundation stage provision. You will perform a key role in supporting children’s learning in all its aspects. You will be required to work with groups and/or classes and must have a good understanding of the principles of child development and learning processes with specific emphasis upon early years provision. The successful candidate will: - Hold a relevant Level 3 Child Care or Teaching Assistants qualification - Be experienced in working with early years foundation stage children - Have good numeracy, literacy and communication skills and a good working knowledge of the revised statutory
  requirements in early years foundation stage - Have knowledge of the role and responsibilities of a key worker and be willing to engage in further training
  if necessary - Have a commitment to safeguarding and well-being of children - Be able to use ICT to support learning You will work as a member of an established team and will contribute to the wider school community. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to work with teachers and also work independently to support pupils.
