If you want to work in a village setting with wonderful well behaved children, supportive leadership and tailored professional learning opportunities then we want to hear from you!
Here at Castleton Primary School we share a special and unique learning community with Glaisdale and Lealholm Primary, and we are proud to serve the villages of Castleton, Westerdale, Commondale, and surrounding areas around Whitby. The three schools are also part of a newly formed group of academies with Airy Hill and Westcliff in Whitby, known as Yorkshire Endeavour Academy Trust.

Our learning environment and education provision that is offered to our 46 children on roll is second to none and Ofsted in May 2013, and recent school reviews judge us to be an ‘outstanding’ school. The children benefit from smaller than average class sizes, a teaching assistant in each class and an exciting curriculum which gives access to learning in the wider world.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our KS2 team. This post is based at Castleton, although there be occasions when you will be working in partnership with colleagues at another school within our collaboration.

You will:
•Have previous experience in this type of role
•Be able to support in the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils.
•Have high expectations of learning and behaviour and inspire and motivate our children.
•Be supportive, nurturing and understanding with high expectations.
•Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience.
•Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils.
•Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written.
•Work well as part of a team.
•Be willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom
We can offer you:
• A warm, happy school where we value everyone and have a philosophy of kindness and support for each other
• Happy, enthusiastic and well behaved children
• A school with exciting and attractive learning environments,
• A leadership team who welcome fresh ideas, traditional values and a sense of teamwork,
• Well supported teachers and support professionals who are committed to driving high standards

To arrange a visit please contact Mrs Douglass (Headteacher) by calling 01287 660496 or email us at headteacher.castleton@yeat.co.uk

Closing date: Friday 8th June 2018
