Teaching and learning is shaped by a curriculum designed to meet the needs of our community, including an additional curriculum focus on children's wellbeing and involvement. Everything we do is underpinned by our supportive, caring and inclusive ethos.

We are a safeguarding school. Children at Birtley East are taught how to keep themselves safe, including identifying harmful behaviour and how to seek help when they feel unsafe. All staff at our school are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.

The Governors and Headteacher of this happy, successful school are seeking an enthusiastic and hard working TA who will work mainly in Foundation Stage. The successful candidate will:

Be able to work within a cohesive and dedicated team, playing a positive role in delivering intervention and supporting the education of our pupils

In return, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated, professional and talented staff team in a supportive environment with children who are enthusiastic, fully engaged in their learning and who enjoy coming to a school they are very proud of.

If successful you will need to apply for an enhanced Disclosure.
