Fixed Term until 31st August 2019, Full Time - 37hours, term time only.

The Governing Body and Headteacher of Swalwell Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking Level 2 Teaching Assistant with effect from September 2018.

The successful candidate will, under the guidance of teaching and senior staff, implement agreed work programmes with individuals and groups, in or out of the classroom and provide additional cover over the lunchtime period to our physically disabled children.

A successful candidate will:
Have excellent written and oral communication skills using standard English.
Have high expectations and follow school policy and procedures.
Have excellent knowledge and understanding of basic skills including Reading, Writing and Maths.
Have experience of interventions and adapting learning to children's needs.
Be able to use their own initiative to meet the needs of children.
Be flexible, well organised and work well within a team.
Have experience with SEN and/or physically disabled children.
