St Anne's Catholic Primary School is a smaller than the average size primary school situated in Harlow Green in the South of Gateshead. The school has undergone a number of staffing changes in recent years, and the school has experienced some challenges and turbulence. However, the newly appointed leadership team and governing body are bringing about rapid whole school improvement, to ensure that the school is moving forward to achieve at least 'Good' at its next inspection.

This is a very exciting time at St. Anne's as the school community works together to build and grow a rich learning environment where all of our children and staff thrive in an ethos and culture of success for all, whilst providing a friendly and inclusive environment in partnership with our parish community.

The Headteacher and Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, hard working and highly motivated EYFS Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our Foundation Stage Team. The successful applicant will initially be working in a busy Reception environment. Applications are invited from committed candidates who are prepared to make a positive contribution to the life and ethos of this inclusive school.

You will:
* Have a recognised level 3 qualification or the equivalent
* Have up to date knowledge and experience of working within Foundation Stage
* Be an outstanding practitioner with high expectations for all children
* Be proficient in supporting the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning
* Confidence with phonics, learning through play and outdoor learning.
* Be an effective communicator and able to work in collaboration with colleagues
* Have knowledge of the importance of nurturing and the impact it has on the outcomes for children

The role includes:
* Assisting teaching staff in the monitoring, recording and evaluation of pupils progress, including providing feedback on observations undertaken.
* Working in a team to support children's individual needs as part of our inclusive school.

St Anne's Catholic School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. You will require an enhanced DBS check in accordance with Gateshead Local Safeguarding Board Procedures. This post may require a declaration under the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2009 including Disqualification by Association.

Visits to the school are welcomed by prior appointment.

Application forms and further details are available by sending a large stamped addressed envelope to the Head Teacher at the school address or by email from the address below or by collection in person from the school office. Completed applications should be returned to the Headteacher.

Visits to the school are encouraged and should be arranged by contacting Sonia Fraser (Head teacher) on 0191 433 4053. If you think you could become part of our dedicated team, please request an application pack by email from: garethlilley@stannesprimary.org.uk
