Team Leader - Permanent - 37 hours
Salary: Grade 11 £32,233 – £36,153
Job Location: Your normal place of work will be Durham Area. However, you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham.
This Supervisory role is responsible for the implementation of data and management information strategies and systems to meet Service and Partnership needs, including those related to commissioning, performance and planning. The post is also responsible for the timely return of statutory and key statistical and data returns to monitoring agencies.
Listed below are the responsibilities this role will be primarily responsible for:
• To take a major role in the development, production, presentation and review of management information and data services within Children and Young People’s Service.
• To take a lead role (in conjunction with information staff from other agencies) in designing and developing management information and data services which meet the needs of the service and partnerships.
• To take a lead role in the specification and development of complex reports to extract data from computerised information systems.
• To lead negotiations with senior managers within Children and Young People’s Service in order to agree specifications of management information, which meet identified needs.
• To participate in appropriate Senior Management forums where performance data are being discussed.
• To lead on appropriate activities with Central Government Departments in relation to the design, implementation and evaluation of national frameworks for statistical returns and inspections.
• To leave on the completion and submission of statutory government returns.
Required qualifications: NVQ Level 5 in Performance/data related subject or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
