TEAM MANAGER
(EARLY HELP - INITIAL CONTACT TEAM, SOUTH TYNESIDE)
£42,474 pa

Adult Social Care is rapidly changing in South Tyneside. We are continuing our exciting journey of change which focuses on supporting our residents to live healthier lives longer, promoting independence and wellbeing, whilst delivering personalised services in partnership with them.

We recognise the importance of the Team Manager role in our journey going forward and providing additional capacity at this level. If our new, more personalised approach is to succeed, we need our managers to embrace and champion it. The importance of the Team Manager role to help deliver the new ways of working within Adult Social Care cannot be underestimated and this is reflected in the changes to our management structure.

With robust leadership skills and expertise in Adult Social Care, you’ll have a background of multi-disciplinary and partnership working. You will manage a specific portfolio and have responsibility for developing and disseminating specialist practice, process and performance knowledge. You will manage a team of professionally and vocationally qualified staff, providing motivation to ensure staff contributes to the achievements of the service improvements.

South Tyneside Council is committed to partnership working and we are keen to lead the way in terms of innovation and new ways of working that are person centred and enables residents to access the right support at the right time with a focus on preventing and reducing need. You will ensure the services delivered are effective, considering risks and appropriate funding streams.

If you are committed to adults having choice and control over their support, maximising opportunities for independence and well-being and wish to be part of an organisation that focuses on best practice and aspires to be the best, then these are the jobs for you.

For an informal discussion about this post please contact Vicki Pattinson, Head of Adults and Integrated Care on 0191 4247055.

Interviews will be held on 24 and 28 March 2017

South Tyneside Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
