An opportunity has opened for a Team Manager to join Newcastle City Council Children’s Social Care Services.
We are looking for someone with strong skills, patience and focus to manage a team of social work staff. This role will include work allocation, performance monitoring, dealing with staffing issues and the training and development of a team within the Initial Response Service.
You will be required to have the determination and commitment to create a brighter future for children, young people and families within Newcastle.
You will have relevant experience working in Children’s Social Care and be familiar with child protection systems and processes, court work and working with children who are looked after. You should have knowledge of statutory requirements and local procedures.
As a member of a team managers group, you will play an important role in delivering a needs led professional service ensuring that vulnerable children and their families benefit from the best possible safeguarding and protection.
