We are looking for a Team Manager with the drive and determination to go the extra mile to provide tenacious, innovative and excellent youth justice services to young people in Newcastle.

You will join a strong and experienced management team and a stable, integrated and committed workforce who are focused on improving outcomes for young people through the application of best practice and high professional standards.

You must have strong management skills, high practice standards and the ability to develop and lead a team of social work and youth justice staff. You should have experience of working with young people in a statutory framework with complex adolescents and a proven ability to improve outcomes for young people.

You must hold a relevant Social Work qualification such as the Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or CSS and be registered with the HCPC. You should also have a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience and a track record of effective leadership, development and motivation of staff.

If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the relevant barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.
