Contractual Status: Fixed term maternity cover for up to 12 month
Middlesbrough Council are seeking an enthusiastic person to work within Bereavement Services at Teesside Crematorium.
The main duties of this post will include, but are not fully inclusive of, the following elements:
• Undertaking front of house and administrative work in relation to the full range of Bereavement Services functions including; general bereavement enquiries, bereavement service bookings, sales and leases of memorials and exclusive rights of burial etc
• This includes call handling, face-to-face enquiries and written correspondence
• Collect and collate statistical information relating to performance indicators, and information for report
• Maintain and develop file and computerised records and documentation as required
You will have proven excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will need to have experience of working in a team-environment although you will be expected to work on your own initiative.
You will need to have experience of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel in particular. The nature of this post means that you must have some experience of dealing with sensitive information and you will be able to provide a face to face service to bereaved people who are often experiencing highly emotional circumstances.
This post is based at Teesside Crematorium, Middlesbrough.
