£33,136 pa
You will assist senior officers to manage, oversee and implement all necessary arrangements for the effective provision of comprehensive Waste and Fleet Management Services - including Waste Disposal, Waste Collection, Fleet Management and Fleet Maintenance within the Borough of South Tyneside.
You will be responsible for establishing the right partnerships to deliver high quality products and services. This will involve assisting and advising other Council departments on streetscape issues e.g. evaluation and review of waste collection and disposal aspects within planning applications etc.
You will work collaboratively with officers within the South Tyne and Wear Waste Management partnership in the delivery of the Waste Disposal PFI Contract, provision of technical data and statistics and wider waste partnership strategic aims and objectives
You will also be responsible for managing a Work Programme, you will deputise for any Senior Officer within Waste and Fleet Services, as and when required including outside normal working hours and Bank Holidays. You will also manage the financial budget as delegated by the Waste and Fleet Manager and assist in its monitoring and effectiveness.
