An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Project Development Team Leader who will be responsible for managing the REAL Technical Project Development Team and multi-disciplinary teams from across DCC on a project by project basis.

County Durham is currently experiencing an unprecedented period of investment and change. Development is preceded by knowledge, evidence and the ability to convince others of the benefits of change and the ability to deliver that change. This post will help shape the change and develop the projects to deliver it. Durham County Council is looking for an someone with the drive knowledge and experience to make County Durham even better.

The post will offer information advice, guidance and challenge on the technical aspects of capital projects development both internally and outside of DCC.

The post holder will take a problem solving approach to project development offering solutions for developing projects that offer efficiencies, cost reductions through value engineering and more robust cost estimates.

Candidates should hold a Degree, or equivalent, in a technical discipline relating to capital projects, (Civil Engineering, Surveying) OR Project Management
Prince2 foundation or equivalent Project Management qualification
together with having extensive experience of project development or delivery within a large and complex organisation.
