The Technical Support Service is seeking to appoint a Technician to assist in providing support to the Council's curriculum ICT and audio visual infrastructure in schools.

Working to annual service level arrangements with Gateshead schools, you will have experience of working in a technical services support setting, working both unsupervised and from within a team setting.

You will have skills working with personal computer network architecture and network administration and you will have computer hardware and software diagnostic skills to support the work of the service, resolving incident management enquiries and information requests received from schools and contributing to service initiatives and other school development requests.

You will have a minimum attainment of 5 GCSE passes or equivalent relevant professional qualification. You may be required to undertake vocational and non-vocational training in order to develop knowledge, skills and competency to ensure a quality service and achieve organisational success.

You will be able to demonstrate that they meet the key roles of the post and possess the relevant essential experience, skills and qualifications attached to the post
