Look no further! We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our Highways, Transport & Design service here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

This is an exciting time for transport in Stockton-on-Tees, and the wider Tees Valley. At Stockton, we are working in partnership with Tees Valley Combined Authority and other partners to deliver a programme of transport schemes which will enable residents and visitors to travel more sustainably to, and within, the borough.

The role will be diverse, rewarding and engaging, helping deliver transformational change to transport choices in Stockton-on-Tees.

We are keen to hear from individuals with the following:
  • Experience of working in or with public sector organisations.
  • Good knowledge of the principles of project, contract and procurement management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders
  • A strong track record of decision making and working to deadlines
  • Effective budget and financial planning skills

We anticipate that the successful candidate will be appointed at a Grade J within the career grade to maintain a skills balance within the team.
