Further Information
The Diocese of Middlesbrough is transforming its current schools and academies structures to create 3 large Regional Catholic Academy Trusts serving the Northern, Central and Southern regions of the Diocese. These system leading Trusts will place Catholic education in the Diocese at the forefront of the national schools system, securing outstanding Catholic education for all our children and young people whilst protecting and developing the Catholic identity and mission of our schools. We are planning for the Northern region, Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, to open in September 2018.

The Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust will consist of 25 schools and academies currently operating as:

• St Oswald’s Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (Redcar & Cleveland) – 4 academies
• Our Lady of Light Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (Stockton on Tees) – 4 academies
• Nicholas Postgate Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (Redcar & Cleveland) – 5 academies
• St Hilda’s Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (Middlesbrough) – 11 academies
• St Pius X RC Voluntary Aided Primary School

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the Trust’s future. We are seeking a suitably experienced individual to support all academies within the Trust. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance on both statutory education and non-educational requirements for effective governance and the strategic development of governance, including leading on the development and implementation of policies across the Trust.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with schools/academies and their governing bodies and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of all issues related to the post. You will have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills and be a strong communicator.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Jim Farquhar at jfarquhar@nicholaspostgate.co.uk
