At Hemlington Hall Academy we have the highest possible aspirations for our staff and pupils and a supportive working culture that focuses on positive learning behaviour and high expectations for all children. We expect all our children to make great progress and develop the skills and personal qualities they will need for the future: happiness is key to success.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an inspirational teacher to teach in upper KS2. The role will be working closely with the Team Leader. The successful applicant will be:

• passionate about teaching and learning, and enjoy the drive of a Year 6 classroom;
• an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn;
• positive, with a ‘can do’ attitude;
• committed to improving the life chances of every child.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking academy and a talented team who can provide support, mentoring and excellent professional development opportunities.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers or NQTs who will:

  teaching and learning for our children;
• be committed to on-going professional development;
• contribute to the wider life of the Academy;
• maintain a dynamic and inspiring learning environment;
• be innovative, highly motivated and eager to take a lead in subjects / key areas;
• have good interpersonal skills and be able to work well as part of our team.

For NQTs, we liaise closely with the Middlesbrough School’s Teaching Alliance NQT programme, where CPD will continue and you will be supported alongside other NQTs from across the region. This enables aspiring teachers to support and learn from each other. There is a clear structure of support and challenge at Hemlington Hall Academy, with personalised professional learning through our NQT mentor.
