Northern Learning Trust has provided learning and support to vulnerable groups living in disadvantaged areas since 1999. We provide literacy, numeracy, family learning, employability support and mentoring.
Since 2011 we have provided support for veterans who are serving custodial or community sentences. We have a NOMs 3 ESF contract with APM to provide support for veterans within the criminal justice system.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced individual who is able to develop and deliver a service for veterans that will enable them to re-settle effectively into their communities and reduce the risks of re-offending.
You will need to be able to engage veterans on a one to one basis. You will work closely with Community Rehabilitation Companies, HM Prisons in Durham, Northumberland and Teesside, and specialist veteran's services. You will have knowledge and understanding of education and training opportunities, housing and health and well-being support available.
