About the role:
To be responsible for all aspects of volunteering in the South of Tyne area, including the coordination, recruitment, induction, support and training of volunteers, adhering to the Society’s volunteering policies. To support and monitor the impact of volunteering on Society activities locally.
You will interview prospective volunteers and match their skills and abilities to local service needs. You will be required to maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring requirements where necessary.
About you:
You will possess NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or demonstrable skills and experience. Excellent communication skills and experience of managing and motivating volunteers are essential. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers.
