Ouseburn Farm Pre-Loved Furniture Warehouse and Workshop represent an area of the charitable arm of Tyne Housing Group, providing low cost or free of charge services to the communities of Newcastle and the surrounding areas.
This includes:
• Providing an alternative to landfill for unwanted furniture, the warehouse offers a free collection service within the Newcastle area and sells used furniture at an affordable price from an adapted retail outlet in Byker
• Retail of ‘made goods’, produced within the warehouse and via the carpentry workshop
• Provision of training and volunteering opportunities for adults with learning disability, mental health issues and facing social exclusion
We are seeking an enthusiastic, suitably skilled and experienced individual to support our warehouse team.
Working from our Pre-Loved Furniture Warehouse and across the local area on collections and deliveries, the ideal candidate will have experience working in a customer-facing, sales environment. A commitment to equality and diversity is essential, as is a flexible, creative, can-do attitude.
