You will work to achieve the efficient and effective maintenance of the Council's vehicles and plant by preparing all vehicles to M.O.T and LGV testing station standards. You are to diagnose faults by road testing vehicles, visual inspections, by use of computerised diagnostic software and any other method agreed by industrial standards.
You must hold an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in subjects relevant to vehicle and plant maintenance and have an understanding of VOSA standards and maintenance requirements with respect to operator licensing.
You should have experience of the maintenance and repair of HGV, LGV fleet and plant equipment
You will be working to a rolling 3 day shift pattern which covers Monday - Saturday.
