About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Development Officer to support the Combined Authority’s aim to create a green, integrated transport network that works for all. Through the delivery of EV charging infrastructure programmes and engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will play a key role in encouraging ZEV adoption and helping us to achieve our aim.  

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Assist in delivering projects that support ZEV adoption and infrastructure expansion.
  • Work with local authorities, businesses, and transport providers to implement sustainable transport initiatives.
  • Support funding applications and investment opportunities for ZEV projects.
  • Conduct research and analysis on policy developments, emerging technologies, and market trends.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders and public to raise awareness of zero-emission transport options.
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating project outcomes, ensuring they align with regional goals. 
About You

We are looking for someone with:
 
  • A strong interest in developing and delivering sustainable transport projects across the region.
  • Experience in project management/support, policy development, or transport planning.
  • Strong communication and analytic skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of transport opportunities and challenges faced across the region.
