Further information

You will be required to carry out out fault diagnosis relating to moderately complex problems, reporting the results of such diagnosis in a clear and concise manner. You will install or remove hardware and/or software, conduct tests of affected hardware and/or software and help to resolve problems and faults and correct malfunctions, calling on help from more experienced colleagues if required. You will monitor and report on regular activities, which are subject to the Service Level Management process and SLA’s or OLA’s (Operational Level Agreements), such as job activity, transaction processing, network activity, databases activity and receive and log requests for support from help desk, other service delivery staff and/or users, prioritising requests in accordance with agreed criteria.

You must have a good general standard of literacy and numeracy and a technical qualification or evidence of competency in IT. You will have very effective IT skills and ability to understand and develop the use of ICT to achieve work objectives and the ability to work methodically and systematically.

This is a fixed term post to cover a period of maternity leave up to 9 months.
