We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Administrative and Finance Assistant to join our busy admin team. We are looking for a bright and bubbly personality to support our pupils; parents/carers and staff.

This role would suit someone who has previous office/admin experience within education and excellent skills in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Previous school office experience is desirable. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We are looking for:
• Be welcoming to all and able to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and staff
• Have experience working in a busy primary school and ideally experienced of SIMS, attendance, admissions.
• Have experience in managing school finances which will include processing purchase orders and pyaments within our PS Financials system
• Be highly organised
• Be able to work as part of a team and also to take initiative and work independently
• Have experience of working with other agencies and have a willingness to collaborate with local schools
• Be willing to be involved in all aspects of school life.

Central Walker Church of England Primary School is based in the East End of Newcastle upon Tyne which is a highly deprived area. The school has just converted to a mixed multi Academy Trust with 3 primary and 1 secondary schools within the local area to form Newcastle East Academy Trust which converted on 1 April 2017. This post will be based at Central Walker but there may be the need to work across other school site if required.
