To provide instruction and support in horticulture to adults with learning disabilities, and to assist with the provision of physical, personal and emotional care to people who use this service.
You must be able to work individually or as part of a team to enable and promote independence, minimise intervention and attend to the needs of people who use the service, maintaining a safe, hygienic and supportive environment in accordance with the culture, standards and objectives of the service. You will have a good general education demonstrating literacy and numeracy, together with, ideally, an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Care (should you be appointed without this you must be willing to undertake this training as part of your induction).
You should have the ability to work to and follow, Individual Service Users Plans, Risk Assessments and Moving and Transferring Plans. You will also be required to produce simple, short and clear case notes as well as working unsupervised as part of a team. It would be an advantage to have an interest in horticulture and experience of working in horticulture, and to have a full, clean driving licence.
