The Service
Northumberland County Council provides nine Customer Information Centres offering a face to face service for residents, visitors and businesses within the county.
The Customer Information Centre team is made up of circa 30 full time equivalent posts. Four Team Leaders manage between 2-3 Customer Information Centres each where teams can vary in size from two Customer Service Advisors up to four, depending on the footfall in the office. The busiest centres at Blyth and Wansbeck Square also have Receptionists.
Customer Service Advisors deliver a wide range of services including enquiries relating to Housing Benefit, Council Tax, Blue Badges, Concessionary Travel, Housing, Household Waste, Highways, etc.

The role
We are looking for positive, enthusiastic resilient individuals who can use their initiative and are passionate about helping others to fill this demanding but rewarding role.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post

A starting salary of £18,870 - £20,541
