At Kenton School, we strongly believe in our motto of ‘all different, all equal’ ensuring that we cater for the needs of all our students, recognising their special gifts or talents. With just over 1800 students, we are one of the largest schools in the North East, however despite our size, we pride ourselves on retaining a family friendly atmosphere and ensuring that our students receive the best possible experience through quality first teaching, excellent pastoral support and a strong team who are absolutely committed to ensuring all our students achieve their potential.

If you are the person we are looking for, you will possess a proven track record of effective training or teaching practice underpinned by a passion for the subject and broad base of subject knowledge. You will possess the ability to work effectively with all students, engaging them through exciting yet challenging lessons and embedding a culture of positive behaviour for learning. But most importantly you will be committed to our school ethos, instilling high expectations in all our students, regardless of the barriers they face.
Experience teaching A-Level Language would be an advantage.

In return Kenton School and our wider Trust offer fantastic opportunities to committed and enthusiastic teachers. With an English Department comprising of 19 teachers, we are able to offer fantastic support and developmental possibilities. We are also excited to be part of the DfE Early Teacher Support Programme offering additional time and support to both early career teachers to experienced teachers looking for mentoring roles.

We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, children and staff at school.
