The Service/role : Fire Support Services is a department within Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service and is responsible for a number of services supporting the organisation in its prevention, protection and emergency response activities. The department aims to provide excellence and quality in all of its functions and is looking for a research, intelligence and risk analysis officer to join its highly successful team. The successful candidate will support the Strategic Policy, Risk and Performance Officer in ensuring the service delivers its statutory responsibilities regarding its Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP), to maintain and operate key performance management and service planning systems, and to provide analytical support to underpin the allocation of resources to risk critical services.

Please note that whilst the job description is generic to the role, initially, the successful applicant would be monitoring and reporting on the trial of a new performance framework, and supporting the development of an Integrated Risk Management Plan 2021-25.
