"An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified social worker/approved mental health professional in the Emergency Duty Team. At present we are undertaking a review of our service therefore the working conditions may change. The role involves Prioritising and assessing all referrals to the team and where appropriate, implement safeguarding arrangements for the immediate protection of vulnerable children and adults including those with mental health problems To work a shift pattern across 7 evenings and throughout the night including all day weekends and Bank Holidays. The service operates 365 days per year. Undertake risk assessments of all service-user groups within the appropriate legislative framework, for Children, Adults and under the Mental Health Act. Work effectively in partnership with professionals from other agencies, use own judgement and autonomy to recognise risks. Use assessment tools to produce appropriate and proportionate safeguarding plans until the next working day. To apply for the post you must have:- A degree or post graduate diploma in social work, or equivalent social work qualification, for example the Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Certificate in Social Services (CSS) or Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) You will need three years post qualifying experience preferably in front line services. If you are not an approved mental health professional you must be willing to undertake further training and qualification. You must be registered with Social Work England. Undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure.
