We are looking to recruit a part time night care worker to work with residents with learning disabilities and varying physical disabilities. The successful candidate should have a good general education and it would be desirable that they have a qualification or experience working in a caring role. The expectation would be that the person would be willing to fullfill all training and meet the physical requirements of the role. We are looking for a caring enthusiastic person who can work within a team and also independantly. The role involves personal care following individual care plans, promoting independence wherever possible, and understanding the need to respect the rights and confidentiality of the residents, administering medication following guidelines, and working in a keywoker role. The successful candidate must be aware of and comply with relevant legislation and work within Northumberland County Councils policies and procedures, they will also be expected to attend training courses and participate in supervision and appraisal to improve their own performance as required.
The salary for this position is £8,984 - £9,724 per annum, for 17 hours per week. This excludes enhancements.
