We are looking for six casual leisure attendants to work in our vibrant town centre leisure facility.The facility that the successful candidates will be based at is the Dolphin Leisure Centre in Darlington.
The successful candidates will work as and when required and would complete a weekly availability form stating the hours that they are available to work.
Casual work is predominantly evening, weekends and during holiday periods. Casual staff would also be called upon should annual leave / sickness cover be required.
All candidates must possess a valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification, excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills and also have a willingness to develop. It is imperative that the successful candidate also has excellent time management skills and can work as an individual or within a team.
Candidates must have the confidence to check the building, fittings and equipment and report any areas to the Duty Manager which need attention and remove any potential hazards immediately, assist in the implementation of emergency procedures and operational plans where appropriate, e.g. evacuation and drowning, deal with any initial customer enquiries, complaints or incidents, resolving where possible, or seeking assistance from the Duty Manager.
Candidates should be able to work and communicate efficiently and effectively individually and within a team.
Candidates must have the flexibility to attend one in three staff training sessions for the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification which is part of the contractual obligation.
