An opportunity is available to join the staff of our popular and high achieving 11-16 Church of England Academy. All Saints opened as a new build school in September 2003 with an intended capacity of 600 students. In 2019 Governors commenced the expansion of our student intake from 150 to 180 each year to achieve a revised net capacity of 900.

From May 2021 we are seeking to appoint a full time Design Technology Technician to assist the teaching staff in providing all students with a relevant, effective and efficient Design and Technology experience ensuring the department continues to maintain outstanding levels of engagement and achievement. Among your duties you will be expected to prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons, to maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety requirements and to maintain and monitor consumables (materials) and equipment within the department.

Design Technology has excellent facilities, (including 2 multi material workshops, a food technology room and a textile room).

We are looking for a suitably experienced technician who has the drive, enthusiasm and ability to support the development of Design Technology, as part of our curriculum offer to students in the academy.

Training and professional development opportunities will be available, including access to accredited qualifications as appropriate. The successful applicant must be prepared to undertake First Aid Training.
