The role is to provide support to the Newcastle Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) and the Newcastle Safeguarding Adult Board (NSAB).

The NSCP and the NSAB bring together all relevant agencies in the City to ensure that children and adults in Newcastle are safeguarded and protected. You can find out more about the NSAB and NSCP here: www.newcastlesafeguarding.org.uk

This is an opportunity to work in a busy and demanding role. You will work closely with the Partnership Coordinators and senior leaders from both Newcastle City Council and other agencies. You will support the NSCP and NSAB in a number of different ways, including: arranging and minuting meetings; directly communicating with NSCP and NSAB members; and updating our website and other publications.

You will need to be able to demonstrate an awareness of safeguarding and understand the importance of and demonstrate that you can always maintain confidentiality. You will need to be able to use your own initiative, have a flexible approach to work and experience of dealing with competing demands and working to deadlines.

We work in a flexible way with working time split between an office base at the Civic Centre in Newcastle and remotely from your home. You will be provided with the necessary IT kit to enable you to work in this way.
