Further Information
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council prides itself on being a great place to work where staff are trusted, valued and supported to make a positive contribution at work.
We have an exciting and unique opportunity for the right candidate to join the Community Protection Service as a Civic Enforcement Officer. The role is challenging yet rewarding and satisfying.

Reporting to the Community Protection Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a diverse range of day to day responsibilities to ensure that Stockton on Tees is a safe and clean place to live, work and visit.

Your role will be to proactively, and reactively, respond to complaints in relation to Environmental Crime and anti-social behaviour utilising powers that are devolved to local government and those derived from the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme.

The principle function of this role is to investigate a range of environmental offences including littering, dog fouling, anti-social behaviour, fly tipping and abandoned vehicles. A focus of this role will also include parking enforcement duties to ensure free-flowing traffic around the local area both day to day and as part of our busy events program in Stockton-on-Tees.

Working on a shift pattern we are seeking those who are able to work independently, but also a team player, and committed to making a difference to the local area. You will be able to solve problems, engage with others, and prepare prosecutions for those who commit offences within the Borough.

We offer an excellent total reward package including a competitive salary, generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and a wide range of learning and development opportunities.
