Xentrall Shared Services is a groundbreaking public/public partnership between Stockton and Darlington Borough Councils. Our objective is to deliver excellent services to all, providing support and services to a range of customers including Local Councils, Schools and Academies, and Direct Payment Clients.

The service has just undergone a major restructure and the team comprises of Payroll, Pensions, HR and Recruitment and Customer Engagement and System Support.
This post is new to our structure within the HR and Recruitment Section.

The main duties of the post will involve carrying out a range of recruitment tasks, from advertising of posts through to pre-employment checks, including references, DBS, occupational health, right to work in the UK and evidence of qualifications. We offer this service to a range of customers and the processes and duties will differ depending on the customer requirements. The recruitment process is carried out using North East Jobs so experience of this would be an advantage.

In addition, the job will include undertaking a range of tasks associated with contracts of employment and variations of contracts of employment in accordance with legislative and customer requirements, as well as processing and monitoring of probation, right to work and long service awards. This will require you to have knowledge of local government terms and conditions of employment.

Ideally you will have or be working towards a CIPD qualification or have an equivalent level of experience. You will also need to be computer literate, be able to work to deadlines and work with a very high level of accuracy.

You will also need to demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and promote our service positively. This will require you to be a good communicator.

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work 40% of their working time away from the office
