An excellent opportunity has arisen in the Occupational Therapy Service for a motivated individual who has experience of working with disabled people in their homes and community settings.

The successful candidate will work within a well-established and valued Community Occupational Therapy Team and an infrastructure of preventative services and deliver community-based occupational therapy assessments & interventions to adults with a wide range of disabilities.

You will undertake complex functional assessments within clients’ homes/other community settings, recommend adaptations and equipment, device rehabilitation plans, and complete blue badge/bus pass assessments to maximise clients’ independence and safety. You will also have experience in undertaking moving and handling risk assessment and ability to navigate clients through the local infrastructure of voluntary and independent sector services. Student education, supervision/support of therapy support staff, and contributing to service developments are important aspects of this role. You will be expected to work flexibly across other preventative services within the organisation.

Applicants must have a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, be registered with the HCPC, and have the ability for independent travel within the borough of Stockton.
