Adoption Tees Valley (ATV) is the Regional Adoption Agency and provides the adoption service for the 5 Local Authorities of Teesside and Darlington. ATV is hosted by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, and prides itself on being a great place to work where staff are trusted, valued and supported to make a positive contribution at work.
ATV is now seeking an Independent Chair to support adoption work, including approvals, and matches.
• Chair panel fortnightly, including pre-Panel work, and agreeing minutes of the meeting.
• Contribute to quality feedback, and assurance for adoption activity in ATV
• Provide 6 monthly panel reports, to the Agency, and Board.
• Support induction, appraisal and training for Panel members.
The tenure of the post is initially for 3 years with a 6 month probationary period. Renewable if appropriate for a further 3 years.
The Chair will be paid a fee rate as agreed in the recruitment process. This fee is to include all preparatory and consequential work undertaken as set out in the job specification. A separate fee will be paid in respect of each Adoption Tees Valley Panel training day attended.
Please note that IR35 rules apply to this appointment. Payments will be made through payroll, and tax and NI deductions will be made at source via PAYE in line with current HMRC guidelines.
