The Teeswide Safeguarding Adults Board (TSAB) works in partnership to safeguard and promote the well-being and independence of adults living in the Boroughs of Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees; who are experiencing, or are at risk of abuse or neglect. The TSAB Business Unit works on behalf of partners to direct and co-ordinate the work of the Board, and to support the work of the various Sub-Groups for Safeguarding Adults. Stockton-On-Tees Borough Council hosts the Business Unit on behalf of the TSAB and is now recruiting to the position of a temporary Administration Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, well established team which provides business support and project work for the Board.

The role of Administration Officer is to provide a comprehensive admin service covering all functions of the Board’s work, this includes day-to-day tasks such as diary management, arranging meetings, taking minutes and monitoring/tracking actions from meetings, raising purchase orders etc.

The postholder will also undertake some complex tasks which include: arranging events, conferences and webinars; supporting the co-ordination of and providing admin support for Safeguarding Adults Reviews and other learning reviews; maintaining and updating the TSAB website; developing and publishing newsletters; and dealing with customer queries in relation to the work of the Board.

The postholder will be experienced in working in a similar environment and will have excellent IT skills, organisation skills, be able to prioritise their own workload and to meet tight deadlines.
This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work 40% of their working time away from the office.
