Further Information
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council prides itself on being a great place to work where staff are trusted, valued and supported to make a positive contribution at work. The schools and settings within the Borough are diverse, representing different communities and structures, all of whom share a determination for achieving excellent outcomes for children and young people. The Education Improvement Service has a successful track record of working in partnership with schools, academies, settings and other services to achieve rising standards.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Early Years Development Adviser to join the EIS team, working with schools and settings to promote outstanding learning and development opportunities for children aged 0-7. The post would suit an individual with leadership potential and a passion for ensuring that young children get the best start to their education.

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status and have a good working knowledge of learning and development in the Early Years and Key Stage 1. Successful experience of working with others to lead improvement in a school or setting would be an advantage, as would experience of having lead CPD. This is a varied role with opportunities to work in a wide range of contexts and creative partnerships; as such, the successful applicant will need excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence.

The post is part time (0.6 FTE) and permanent. Working days are negotiable and may be flexible.

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work up to 40% of their working time away from the office subject to business needs.

We offer an excellent total reward package including a competitive salary, generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and a wide range of learning and development opportunities.

If you would like an informal discussion about the post, please contact Keith Morrison (General Adviser 0-11) on 01642 527515
