You will be responsible for the delivery of Highways Maintenance works within the Castle Morpeth Team. An extensive knowledge and experience of civil groundworks is essential and should include working with a live Highway environment.
Skilled Highways Operatives will work as the lead hand part of a Team covering, minor reactive repairs (potholes, lift and relay paving etc etc) and planned construction teams. It is essential to have a working knowledge of larger construction works including, understanding and reading of drawings, ordering of materials, Health and safety understanding and qualification in NRASA or equivalent and also experience in paving, kerbing, drainage, bricklaying, resurfacing etc etc.
You should have a level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Highways or working towards a full trade qualification
